opening is near, staff in the house
After June 12th the exhibition will be open all days until end of August from 10 to 18 and the Café will be open all days until 22.
The opening ceremony starts at 12 o'clock on Saturday June 12th and the minister of industry and tourism, Katrín Júlíusdóttir, will formally lead us into the exhibition. There will be a short introduction to the command performance of "The arctic fox", specially written for The Arctic Fox Centre and performed by The Comedia theatre in Isafjordur.
Afterwards, West tours will provide a tour to Hesteyri, Hornstrandir Nature Reserve, where arctic foxes roam freely, protected from hunting (legal hunting in all Iceland). West tours also take care of guests who wish to come with the early flight on Saturday and leave with the latter flight on the same day - or decide to stay for one night in Isafjordur or Sudavik. You can get further information about these arrangements by sending email to email@example.com or call +354 456 5111.
In Sudavik, we have a special offer at Iceland Tour Guy, a company of Eggert and Michelle Nilsson. They rent out a few houses in the summer town of Sudavik and have offered our people 15% off on full bed room or sleeping bag accommodation where you stay in a "regular home" and share kitchen and other facilities with other guests. You can book a house, room or sleeping bag at www.icelandtourguy.com.
In Sudavik you also find a nice camping place with shower, washing machine etc.
The café is open all days until 22 and there you can get soup in the lunch time, home baked bread and cakes, nice coffee and tea and soda, wine and beer - we even have "fox shots" for those who dare. The patio heads southwards and it´s nice to sit out there with your drink, write postcards or chat to your friends. We have open internet access in the house and you can get the worlds news or even write your travelling blog.
At the Café we are proud to house an amazing private stamp collection of Helgi Gunnarsson.
